“Everything is Medicine” INVITES YOU for an Action Day Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25 from 8a.m – 2:00p.m.
We will be weeding, sheet mulching, and planting native flora at 1624 Cortez Street off, of Glendale Blvd. in Historic Filipino Town.
All the current flora at the site will be pulled out. At the premises mallow and quelite abound, both of these plants are great food and medicine sources for humyns.
A current tree stump will be transformed into a planting unit as well. Plus a few Southern California native Ceanothus and some delicious Fragaria Californica (native strawberries) will be transplanted as part of the learning process for the weekend.
This is a very posh potluck affair. BYO, food to share, songs, musical instruments, stories, poems, or dance music. Open mike all through the weekend in this incredible NATIVE FLORA-A-THON!
A MUD PIT WILL BE ACTIVATED ON SITE AS WELL!
YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING A TOWEL.
