Olivia Chumacero is currently writing a creative non-fiction novel. It is a coming of age story from a farm worker’s family experience. The setting is ensconced in a political arena that includes the United Farm Workers Association and the American Indian Movement. The characters evolve through the mercurial historical period of the late sixties, to early seventies. She will be reading an excerpt from her work.
