(e.i.m.) Ascot Hills Park
HIKE/LECTURE Sunday August 21, 2016
ADDRESS: 4371 MULTNOMAH ST. LOS ANGELES, CA 90032.
TIME: 8:30am- 12:30 pm
Olivia Chumacero will take you on a hike through the Ascot Hills Park. The land has several thriving floristic environments from a healthy riparian area, to the more drought tolerant species indicative of our coastal oak and sage family.
Much of the flora has been re-introduced and is right at home in these rolling hills. Edible, medicinal, and cultural properties of the following plants will be discussed in detail: elderberry, matilija poppy, native grapes, black sage, and California sage brush.
