Who I was that day

Who?

I’ve asked myself Again

Who?

Living inside the me that is

Why question who

Who were my Elders, Who?

They speak in dreams

They tell

They fly at dusk at dawn

They visit From time to time

Accompanied by song, by tale

Who?

Born from mother

Offered to the world

Left by father

Who?

A female of the tribe

Human mammals, we are

Who?

deer runners

Holding Copper Canyon space

Drumming for the water, for the air

Walking subway rivers

Holding conversations

with the native plants

Visitations

with the Dolphin clans

Who?

Who I was that day

When I learned

the angle of our turns, the dance

of our passing through in space

has changed

By what degrees effected

through our waste

Our mother planet whales, laments

I wonder when and if

Us

She will shed

Yet

Who?

Which ONE

Of the 6.6 Billion

Is responsible

for this Cosmo-logic change

Who?

Or

Which part of my body Is to blame

My gut

My sexual organs

My mind

With whom

are you inclined

To say

Who?

Who I was that day

Who?

Or still may be the way

upon each other we destroy, abuse, and kill

Who?

the I

the we

the me or you

or

Who?
